Steamed Buns
Updated: Oct 4, 2024

These steamed buns work well as dinner rolls to have with a chick stir fry or tofu soup. They are very easy to make and are a nice variation to baked dinner rolls. Nothing is more satisfying than freshly steamed buns. These buns can also be filled with fillings of your choice.
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups all purpose flour
1 ½ tsp yeast
2 TBS sugar
1 cup milk, warmed
1 TBS butter or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
Add warm milk and oil to the dry ingredients.
Knead dough for a few minutes to make a smooth ball.
